"I have been a longtime Ford enthusiast who constantly strives to improve the performance of my vehicles. I have owned several Mustangs in the past, and first heard about the Extrude Hone process several years back. I had one of my old stock 5.0 upper intakes Extrude Honed and was impressed with the seat of the pants improvement. When I purchased my 2001 Ford Lightning, I immediately sought to improve its performance also. A number of modifications were performed to include pulley, computer chip upgrades, exhaust, etc. After each modification was made, I verified the changes via chassis dyno. One of the more recent changes was to have the upper intake of the Lightning Extrude Honed. After the EXTRUDE HONE modification, I noticed an improvement of 11 RWHP and 10 RWTQ (SAE) on a dyno. More importantly, I went from a best ET of 12.46 down to 12.36 seconds and improved from 109 to 110 MPH with this being the only change. I highly recommend EXTRUDE HONE, especially for higher boost applications."
